Soft and gentle nose, exactly what we’ve come to know and love from Mr. Hayden, with caramel wafers, roast nuts, dark cherry skins, and gentle oak spice. Soft and coating on the palate, the fruit is more pronounced with dried cherries and plums, spiced raisins, currants and mild vanilla sweetness. The rye in the mashbill crops up in the finish which shows more baking spice and some brief herbal notes before a return to dried fruit and slightly tannic oak. Flavorful and soft without losing structure.
