It has dense, dark purple-red color with aromas of sweet, ripe blackberry, fig and toasted brown spices. A fleshy, medium-bodied wine with notes of blackcurrant, rhubard, cranberry, black cherries, dark chocolate and subtle oak vanilla characters.

In 1972, Chuck Wagner started Caymus Vineyards with his parents, Charlie and Lorna, with a humble plan and an uncharted future. The Wagner family were farmers with deep roots in the Napa Valley â in 1857, Chuck Wagnerâs great-great grandfather captained a wagon train to California from Bible Grove, Missouri.
