Smouldering Secret 8 Year Old Tasting Notes

Official tasting notes

Nose: Candied fruit, smoke, and fresh sea air. Water brings out peaty, earthy tones.

Palate: Sweet and smoky, notes from the seaside. A few drops of water reveal more peat.

Finish: Warm and tingly fade that trails sweet smoke and peat.

Colour: Natural colour, very pale gold. Oily in the glass, with beads that develop distinctly.

Nose: Peat smoke rising on the coastal breeze. Fresh with saline spray. Lemon citrus meets minerality.

Palate: Full mouthfeel, nice and viscous. Light smoke, lemon, and brine. Alcohol is well integrated. Classic, beautiful Caol Ila.

Finish: A big waft of smoke, then a mineral note, followed last by bright clean spice.
